Re: Early RAF Liberators with Disney Characters

From, Geoffrey Sinclair:

Not sure this is worth posting, more for information

BZ980 Taken on charge 26-Nov-43 as a B.VI, reported sent to India, ex USAAF 42-64076 accepted 30-Sep-43 as a B-24J-1-CF.

As for early/late Consolidated San Diego switched to the J model in August 1943. According to the various import reports to end November
1943 the UK had received 331 out of 751 B-24 wartime imports from the US, RAF overseas received 4 B-24 direct from the US in January 1942 after that there was nothing until October 1943, as of end September
1945 1,130 imports from the US.

A slight complication is the UK exported around 61 of the B-24 it imported, plus any that moved as part of RAF units.
