Luftwaffe Losses in the Dodecanese Islands in 1943

Colleagues.
Please help me determine Luftwaffe losses in the battles for the Dodecanese Islands in September-November 1943. The literature lists 48 aircraft, but these are likely total losses—operational, ground, and air losses. I'm only interested in actual losses in air combat with Allied aircraft.

You can downoad the loss reports free from the Bundesarchiv, files:
RL 2-III/1192 (3 Aug–2 Sep 1943)
RL 2-III/1193 (3 Sep–2 Okt 1943)
RL 2-III/1194 (3 Oct–2 Nov 1943)
RL 2-III/1195 (3 Nov–2 Dec 1943)
You'll find more about using the Bundesarchiv records in this thread: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=62434

Re: Luftwaffe Losses in the Dodecanese Islands in 1943

When I was living on Rhodes I talked to a local who described an action between Spitfires and a JU 52 off the southern end of the island, at Plimiri, which resulted in the Junkers crashing in to the ocean. The man was the caretaker at the local church, where he claimed some of the German victims were buried. This would have been during September, 1943. I also did some digging around the old Italian barracks there, and found a lot of evidence of fighting between the former allies.
