Getting back with an answer on that. "THE" is not an english or german acronym. It is a greek acronym, finally, meaning "Typos Hlektrikis Eksartiseos" (Type of Electrical Attachment). The acronym is common to the German ETC (Elektrischer Traeger fuer Cylindrische bomben), bomb racks, but from photos of the era, it seems that the greek Henschel 126 were carrying slightly different bomb racks to the german ones, as the bombs they were directed to carry, were of greek production.
