Martin Gleeson is an unknown quantity at this point
He 111 unit on a French airfield June 1940.

Could anyone please tell me the identity of a He 111 unit that may have recently occupied a former Allied airfield near Amiens in June 1940 ?

This question arises from a poor quality photograph I have seen. On the back it has '18.6.40' and was noted to be near Amiens. I cannot read the Heinkel unit codes unfortunately.

Could the airfield have been at Glisy ?

Regards,

Martin Gleeson.
