Many thanks for pointing out that possibility. I will notate my files accordingly. In Brian Cull's book Spitfires Over Malta Hamilton is shown as arriving on the island on 21 July 1942 flying off HMS Eagle. For all such arrivals the Commonwealth AF pilots had their names appended with their service, RCAF, RAAF, etc. Hamilton is not shown as being RCAF, so my assumption is that he was in fact in the RAF. Naturally the author could have gotten it wrong. Regards, Tom
