Location of forced-landing on several pages is given as " Road Karstaedt--Pulits about 500m. SW Bluethen"; German towns often spelt as pronounced rather than actual spelling eg....
Karstaedt = Karstadt Pulits = Pulitz Bluethen = Bluthen (on one page spelt "Luethen"). The German report (looks like Ku1554?) recorded markings as "MZ-E Snetterton" (ie. 413BS / 96BG Pathfinder) but certainly with 447th. when lost, pilot was Capt. Milton Esterline 447BG. As she was only with 96th. for a very short time evidently letters weren't changed which may explain the lack of Group symbol/letter on tail--being a PFF. Regards Nick
