Re: Mosquito MkXVIII Tsetse

Is it known why all the Tsetse Mosquitoes were transferred from 248 Squadron to 254 Squadron in mid-January 1945, which, like the entire North Coates Wing, was armed with Beaufighters? What missions could they have been assigned, given that shipping in the southern North Sea was virtually nonexistent at the time?

Re: Mosquito MkXVIII Tsetse

254 Sqn seemed to be very active on anti-u-boat and in particularly anti-Seehund patrols. Would disagree that there was little going on if you have a look at the F540

Re: Mosquito MkXVIII Tsetse

I looked at the combat log of 254 Squadron and saw that the records of the Tsetse's participation in the squadron's missions begin only in April 1945. Please tell me what the Tsetse were doing from mid-January to April 1945.
