Bv222 instrument panel confirmation needed.

Hey everyone ,

This turned up recently. Doing further research I am 99.9% sure this is from a BV222.

This is based on the shape of the panel as well as the cutout for the steering yoke assembly.

There were a few different variants, so the panel setups were all slightly different from what I understand. If you look at the black and white photo the shape is definitely a mirror image of the right side... And the pilot panel appears to have the same layout at least from the instruments I can see.

Not shown in the photograph are British markings. So there's both the original German as well as some added British markings which suggests it was obviously captured by the British. This was also found in a British scrap yard.

Given that the only BV 222 that was captured by the British and scrapped on land was C-012... Then I can almost positively conclude that that's what this aircraft panel came from.

Does anyone have any other BV222 cockpit photos? The only other photos I've seen have a different instrument layout.

TIA

Mike

Yes, thank you for the link (I am already aware of that thread)

This thread was created to try to location additional info, panel layouts, drawing, etc.

As mentioned, I am 99.9% sure of the exact aircraft this came from, but looking for additional back-up info
