The above, St Kap of 4./123, was lost on a recce mission south of the Isle of Wight on this date. Two Fw 190s took off at 1155hrs and at 1208hrs attacked an S-boot/MTB in PlQ 15W/2167 only for Hanebutt to be shot down by Flak. No RAF claims (it has been assumed fighters had got him) or any mention in the Admiralty WEar Diaries or OKM diaries so who got him and how?
