Re: Fw 190 Production at Mimetall

A couple of wee points. I'll start each with Iritger's words from post #20:

1. "I have yet to find the "Rosetta Stone" doc which lays out the exact responsibilities of each supplier - I have such Zentralfertigung docs for Messerschmitt but haven't found ones for Focke Wulf yet. What I can do is show you documents from Direktor Kalkert at Mimetall noting that airframes delivered from Weserflug were found to have problems and thus deliveries were halted as of 11 Dec 1944:"
What the document most usefully embedded below in your post actually refers to are not airframes (Zelle or Flugzeuge) but Ruempfe = fuselages. Yes, the fuselages for Doras assembled as complete aircraft at Mimetall came from Weserflug - see post #12 above (Feb-45 Dekade I report: "The Arb.Gem section of this report also includes the words "Sonderzug mit Rümpfen soll spätestens am 12.2 von Nordenham nach Erfurt abgeben" )

2. That the Mimetall sections of these Dec-44 & Jan-45 Fertigungsstand reports are blank has apparently led you to the conclusion that the Mimetall deliveries could not have been included in the Arb.Gem. quantities. That is an assumption and it is clearly incorrect.
It is contradicted conclusively by the evidence in the December 1944 Beitrag where the Fertigungsstand Arb.Gem. figures are broken down by individual final assembly plant - see post #14 above
"So the Fertigungsstand for the month of Dec-44 evidences 126 Fw 190 delivered by Arg.Gem. split between 84 x D-9s and 42 A-8/-9s. (You arrive at these sub-type totals by adding up the delivery figures for each Dekade.)

For the same month the Beitrag presents a sub-total of 132 Fw 190 described as "Gesamt: Arb.Gem".
This comprises:
8 x A-8 from MME/Mimetall
74 x D-9 from MME
14 x A-8 from WFG
36 x D-9 from WFG
Add those up and the sub-total of 132 is split 22 x A-8s and 110 D-9s"
Yes, 20 of the A-8s got miscounted as D-9s or vice versa, but it is beyond doubt that the Mimetall quantities were included in the Arb.Gem. total in the 31-Dec-44 Fertigungsstand.

The treatment of the Jan-45 figures is identical. 107 for Arb.Gem. in the Fertigungsstand and a sub-total of 108 in the Beitrag split thus:
Con Aslau 10 x A8 & 14 x D-9
WFG (so Weser) 20 x D-9
MME (so Mimetall) 64 x D-9

I fear though I am only repeating myself and that can get boring. Normally explaining something once is enough but normally doesn't always work.
