2) According to the well researched P-61 book by Jeff Kolln 42-5543 was named by Anderson Tennessee Ridge Runner The name Mildred is not listed, but it could of course been renamed after it was handed over to a different crew. Your source please? B Rgds Stig |

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Hi Stig. Photo of Anderson and Mogan (usual spelling) in a Key Aero mag. from 2017; "Mildred" is actually on the left cowling and she is Jet 622 Black, "Runner" being OD/NG so not same plane. Cowling names were normally supplemental.
Thanks Nick |

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Nick,
Thank you very much. Number 13 interests me because I count three captains and two lieutenants. The average crew photo might contain one officer. |

1/Lt John Anderson (who flew with Lt James Mogan) 1/Lt Raymond Anderson (who flew with Lt John Morris) According to Frank Olynyk John Anderson claimed two victories, both in 42-5543 Raymond Anderson claimed three, in three different P-61s, 42-5573, -5543, -5540 Unfortunately Kolln & Olynyk differs slightly with regards to dates, so I am not going into that. However none of the above aircraft is listed with the name 'Mildred', but it now seems clear that it was John Anderson who named his aircraft 'Tennessee Ridge Runner' and not Raymond A. Does Key explicitly state 'Mildred' was 42-5543? Reason I ask is that I have very few books so well researched as the one by Jeff Kolln B Rgds Stig |
