Well-maintained Gloss Black finish reflects Johnson's status as Sqn. c/o. Sorry don't know where I got 42-5543 from, trying to strain brain. ED. Photo 13. 44-8007, this is most likely post-war when she was assigned to Ninth AF / USAFE for photo/mapping/surveying over Europe; note crew's bags with names, not her regular crew in combat. Afraid so. In the article there are 2 photos referring to Oris Johnson, one is "Mildred" and the other (with Johnson) he's on P-61A "No love! no nothing!" but they are not the same P-61 (different radomes). In the 422 History there's a photo of him with "No love" but no serial shown on any. Would you like the link?
