Re: Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942

Guys - thanks for the interest.

I can confirm that the book should be with me / wholesalers on Friday 31st July after a short delivery delay.

Pre-orders are looking strong, and if this is anything like Chris's last book for Chandos it will sell out soon! Make sure you secure your copy, either on the eBay UK page or from my own website shop.

cheers
Rich

Re: Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942

My copy arrived yesterday and I am very impressed with the number of high quality illustrations and photographs packed into this book. I have always enjoyed Chris’s work and the breadth and depth of this book goes far wider than simply covering the ‘Channel Dash’. Chandos produce books of excellent quality and this is a winning combination that will certainly be very valuable in my own research avenues. I am looking forward to reading the book in detail.

Re: Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942

Hi Chris - I also got my copy on Friday. It’s a fabulous piece of work and very lavishly illustrated as ever with some amazing photos and profiles. I’m sure it will sell out quickly too.

Re: Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942

Find it very confusing how limited the Chandos book runs are.

Just looking at their site, and so many excellent books are sold out eg KG 40, German Wings, Kauz Night Fighters, to name just a few. If they sell, and obviously do, why not reprint?

And it bothers me greatly that you can only by via Pal Pal.

There, I've had my beef!

Re: Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942

A normal print run for a specialist book is 1,000 copies. If I had a guaranteed 10,000 customers then I'd print 10,000 copies. And yes, I do reprint if required. Both KG 40 and Kauz were reprinted.
PayPal isn't the only payment option.
You can also purchase the book from any of the many specialist bookshops around the World that stock Chandos books.

Re: Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942

My copy is on the way, ordered at Zinnfigur Berlin. so whoever ordered from them, you should receive a shipping confirmation soon.

on a sidenote: Rich, could you please format the downloadable addenda and corrections in a way so that they are printable in A4 or Letter format? ideally a downloadable pdf in A4 would be perfect as that can be printed and slipped into the respective books.
