RAF Buffalo question
Does anyone have a good photo or photos of the armor plating behind the pilot seat on RAF Buffalos in Singapore?
I read that the seat armor was added from local sources. Thanks in advance. |

Re: RAF Buffalo question
Hi Rick. Not a photo but couldn't find a close-up. I believe fitted in Singapore possibly at the big Naval dockyard there. Note at bottom says added 8 Dec.41. Also cutaway before plate added, standard seat-headrest,

Re: RAF Buffalo question
Try looking at the photos here:
https://www.destinationsjourney.com/...-raaf-service/ Note: 25 Sqn RAAF and 1 PRU are "left over" aircraft, acquired in Australia after the fall of the NEI, so probably don't have the Singapore dockyard armour. ...geoff
