Information concerning the loss of Obergefreiter Gunter Kluhs - killed 14.09.1943

Hi,

Could anyone provide information on the loss of Obergefreiter Gunter Kluhs who was a bordfunker in a stuka squadron?

He was lost on the 14th September 1943 - over Charahter (could not find this place) which could be in Russia?

He had served for two years as flight crew and was born in 1922.

Many thanks

Rick

Awaiting further info about the probable location of Charahter, I wonder if he was a victim of the 'Bombenwurf' on Schatalowka-Ost airfield (present day village of Shatalovo, S. of Smolensk) in which a good number of Stukas of St. G. 1 were destroyed and damaged.
