Re: "Royal Air Force at War" double-DVD
Well as far as I can judge the quality is good, at least the B&W footage does not show the mpeg artifacts you'll get from transferred low quality analog video.
The image is overall clear and dicated by the quality of the original print, not the transfer. I'd regard this DVD as good value for money if you are interested in the RAF, especially because it is not the usual mini documentary rehashing the same old same old. Since only original reels with their commentary are used the product gets 10/10 for atmosphere.
