There is a discrepancy somewhere. B-17 #44-6915 survived the war to be salvaged at Kingman, Arizona after the war. The only B-17 from the 379th BG that was lost on 2/14/1945 was # 43-39147. Please recheck the date, BG, or serial number. Let me know if I can be of further help. Kind Regards, Hugh

Thanks, I found the data regarding 44-6915 on Joe Baugher’s website http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/1944_1.html 43-39147 (379th BG, 527th BS) hit by AAA Feb 14, 1945 and crashed in Elsenborn, Belgium. 2 KIA, 7 POW. MACR 1233. Dirk
