127 Sqn, Middle East, 1941

127 Squadron was formed on 29 June 1941 in Iraq.
It initially was manned by 8 pilots.
A further 5 pilots were posted to the squadron on 8 July 1941.
They are listed in the ORB as:
F/O Doughty
P/O Haigh
Sgt Hitching
Sgt Jordan
Sgt Lockwood
The Squadron was disbandend on 20 July 1941 and together with X flight the Pilots and aircraft formed a new 261 Squadron.
Does anyone have any information on any of these men.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy
I think you will find that they all came from Malta ex-261 Squadron. Do you want more info?

Cheers
Brian
