What happened to Denis Barnham of Malta fame?

Denis Barnham was a much respected Art Master at Epsom College, Surrey, from 1949 to 1972. He was 2IC of the CCF RAF section and rarely mentioned his outstanding role as a spitfire pilot in Malta. He was much liked as a teacher for his patience and "worldly" manner in contrast to many others with little real-world experience.
