Re: USAAF Bomber loss of September 9, 1944

8th AAF flew missions 613 & 614 that day.

613 to South of France, with no losses.

614 was to Western Germany, and a total of 13 aircraft lost/mia

1BD - B-17 lost 5 aircraft,
1 each from
91st BG,
303rd BG
305th BG
379th BG
401st BG

2BD - B-24 lost 3
392nd BG
458th BG
489th BG

3BD - B-17 lost 6
390th BG - 5
490th BG - 1


Several other aircraft were lost to battle damage, crashlandings and collisions.
