Thanks for that Rob - after running it through BabelFish it came out as:-
"7.4.41 BSN, F.d.M. and F.d.V. north divides 1922 Jafue German bay by telex mit:"Saemtliche fighters BF 109 is provided with a yellow painting of recognition to to the wing roots. Bearing area and tail unit are not any longer particularly characterized. It is made at the same time on the fact attentive that also BF can affect 109 without this painting e.g. as car ferry air-gauge-offered. The absence of the painting may not therefore lead to the fact that these airplanes are addressed as hostile." 13.8.41 painting of recognition of own fighters: 0800 FT 0740/58 KlN of group of north is received: "Kr.Kr. everything. Immediately painting of recognition of own fighters 1) lower surface hood yellow 2) completely boss black." Even allowing for the "car ferry air-gauge" phrase it is nice to read an official explanation. - many thanks - Allan
