The Stkz for the Me 323E-1 DU+PA to PO; W/Nr.130041 to 130055

Regarding the use of Q in the Stkz sequences is a mistake/typos/errors and for the He 219 a postwar addition to an original foto/painting of that a/c.(I think? I cannot get to my books at present but I have seen something very similar)

The letter O was used as a simplified use of the pre-war civil regs. I have many fotos of the use of E & O for early & mid 1940 and at least 1 as late as 1944

Can you give a list of your Qs and i will try and give you possible corrections or answers

Are you sure about the "Q"not being used? In Focke Wulf, by Rodeike, page 258 there is a picture of VQ+VC, Fw190A7 642545.
I also found:

As for a He219A-7 coded QT+NY, there is nothing listed that is anywhere near this in the "Other Known Werknummern or Signs" of "Heinkel He219, An Illustrated History" by Roland Remp [Schiffer, 2000]. The image in "Luftwaffe Combat Aircraft of Hitlers luftwaffe 1939-1945" appears to be a heavily retouched wartime photo...

I think you have the wrong end of the stick. I should have made it clear that the Q is the lead letter.

eg: QU+PN as in the title 'QU+PN fake or real'

The letter Q was used in all other sequence letters; 2nd, 3rd & 4th

Hope this makes it clear
