It gets worse...
Someone (Dave Wadman I think) once sent me some data extracted from Luftflotte 6's own loss records, saying that Ahlers and Wyschka were flying WNr. 100040 rather than 131795, 1K+CK and were killed in an "Absturz vor Landung" (rather than a "Bruchlandung") at Koersitz bei Oberglogau during a ferry flight. What's even worse is that 100040 is described as a "D-5 Nacht VII" when AFAIK all the 100 series were D-3s. Ahlers rank is given as Fhj.-Uffz. and damage as 99%, not 100% Now it's all perfectly clear!
