Good Evening All,
Can any one tell me the fate of the Spitfire X4587. In late 1940's was used by 609 Squadron. I am looking to find out what happended to the aircraft and if possible details of who the pilot was on its last flight.

Hi Del,

Used by the 609 Sqn from 8/10/40 till 24/2/41. Later CE 24/11/44.

It means "beyond economical repair".

It seems X4587 was on charge of Transport Command Met. Flt as of August 1944.
