Thanks for this info. I note that Marius Emmerling and other sources also carry an Ott as Gr Kdr of III./StG 2 during the Polish Campaign. Good catch. Unless there were two Hptm. Ernst Ott's in the Luftwaffe at the time, your theory makes good sense.

I'll look into the info on the massacre of the Dutch DB-8A3N's as well. Unfortunatly I've not been able to add to the details of who got what for II./ZG-1.
