Thanks for your quick replies. If I was physically present at BA-MA Freiburg and requested a personal record, would I be able to view the file, in much in the same way that I can call up and view other documents? Andre

Just a week short of a year and after much hastening, I have my reply from WASt. I am afraid no photocopies, EKM, date and place of birth just names, ranks, positions, ac details and if available fate typed out like at least 10 years ago. Still, something is much better than nothing!

I would prepare this visit by contacting the person responsible for this Referat, as stated by the people at the readers room by my last visit, before I went there with details of my request. I do not have a name at hand, but this should be quite easy to get by contacting the staff at the readers room by email. Regards, Andreas B
