Re: Help with Fw 200 Condor Losses
Chris,
According to Irish DRS Bornefeld's body was washed ashore at Bunbeg Co. Donegal on 14 February 1942 and buried there. His remains were later transferred to the German War Cemetery at Glencree near Dublin. I was of the opinion that the FW200 F8+MH 0093 was lost on the early morning of the 1st February 1942 and Bornefeld's date in the German War Graves Commission list states the 1st as does his grave marker in Glencree. Does anyone have the names of the rest of the crew? Tony K
