Stuka or Sturzkampfflugzeug literally stands for dive bomber. As such it is a description of category of an aircraft and by no means a nick. For example, US Stuka pilots who have attacked Japanese fleet at Midway never flew Ju 87, nonetheless they were still flying Stukas.
