I./SKG10

Hi,

Does anyone know if I./SKG10 did some operational flights against Britain during night 14/15 June 1943 ? S/L Wray, OC of the 137 Sqn met and claimed one Fw 190 damaged on a moonlight sortie near by Somme estuary, France.

Regards,
Michal

Michal: I/SKG 10 were active that night attacking London but no losses were recorded. The logbook I have says take off Amiens 0103 hrs 15 Jun, landing 0234 hrs

Re: I./SKG10

I have a loss noted in my database for 14/6/43, 3./SKG10, Fw 190A (sic. - I suspect A-5/U8), WNr 47 (sic. - I think 840047), Stkz. CO+LT, 100% damaged location unknown, Lt. Heinz Ullrich.

Just wondering (Chris) if this is a mis-entry/error or could it be one you don't know about?

Thanks,
Chris

Re: I./SKG10

This was shot down by Cunningham & Rawnsley of 85 Sqn 13-14 Jun (night before) crashing at Nettlefold Farm, Borough Green 0050 hrs. It was said to be an A-5, Wk Nr 840047 and coded CO+LT. If you want to know more, you will have to wait for the publication of my night Jabo book which should be out next year (published by Classic)!

Re: I./SKG10

Chris,

Other missing Fw of the Gruppe - 1. Staffel, over England was Uffz. Oehne on 20/21 June night. It landed at Manston by mistake. Was his A-5/U8 version too ?
