Beaufighter colouring/markings

Help please

I am trying to find out the colouring/markings of a 600 Squadron Beaufighter Mk VIf (AI Mk VII) - April 1943.
I would really appreciate it if anybody could direct me to any photographs of 600 Squadron aircraft from that time.

With thanks

Re: Beaufighter colouring/markings

There is a 1944 photo in Fighter Squadrons of the RAF, by John Rawlings. The photo shows standard RAF NF colours and markings of the period. The book lists several serials, some with codes, but does not tie them to ears. The aircraft in the photo is a veteran V8388, coded Y aft of the roundel, but the code in front of the roundel does not look like 600's BQ, looking more like a 6. Perhaps this was some local coding?

Re: Beaufighter colouring/markings

Hello!
I will suggest the very nice book of Nick Beale intittled: NSG 9, which had several combat reports and nice pictures of Beaufighters VI F from 600 Squadron, while operating on Italy ( including pictures of the OC´s machine and the scoreboard of the unit ). It is a well worth work.
Yours
Adriano
PS: Nick Beale can be reached via the Forum..I think that if you ask him he can send you some pictures.
