Re: Hs 129 WkNr. 1852 and 141584

According to Martin Pegg's "Hs 129" W.Nr. 141584 of 10.(Pz)/SG 9 received 70% bomb damage on the field at Weidengut. Date: 6 Mar 45.

For what it's worth, I don't see any W.Nrs. in the 1xxx range of incidents/losses for the Hs 129 at all.

Hope it helps,
George

I don't have anything for 1852 either, though I'd be inclined to think that it might be 141852....

Hello George and Jim

George, thanks for the information! That acutally fits quite well. This aircraft was flown by Franz Jech of 10.(Pz)/SG 9 and was stationed at Weidengut at that time.

Is there a photo available of this aircraft in Martin Pegg's book?

Jim, that could well be! Is anything known about 141852?

Best regards

Just running through the listing of Hs 129 losses I didn't see the W.Nr. 141 852, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. Do you have a date, or a range of dates for whatever information you want on the aircraft?

The losses are in an appendix of 9 pages, with only one photo, and on that one only the identification that it was an Hs 129B.

I haven't really looked through the book to check for the photo of any particular serial number.

Hello George,

The date range is September 1943 to March 1945.

I have found a photo that apparently shows WkNr 141862 but it could well be 141852! Does anybody know where to find this particular photo with a better quality/resolution?

Regards

The first one is certainly 141852. Unfortunately, I don't have anything specific on it (I have only for 141850 and 141855).
George told you everything available for the second one.
By the way, which one was flown by Franz Jech (rank?) and when?

Hi Dénes,

I will receive his flight log very soon and will then be able to tell you more. I don't have all the scans yet or they show only part of the log, respectively.

I will post the information here as soon as I know more.

Promised.

By the way, I have a copy of your Walk Around which provided some very interesting information and excellent photos.
