Re: Lost to Sudek13

Nemo,

Piss off to the tank forum, then, and you won't see the photos in advance. Leave the rest of us to do as we wish regarding e-bay photos.

Re: Lost to Sudek13

I lost my girlfriend to Sudek 13. Oh well, she was a pain in the ass anyways.

Mike

David, Peter,

I just call a spade a blunt instrument... and can usually see through the motives of people like nemo.

Re: Lost to Sudek13

This thread turned out as a repetition of privious discussions indeed.

As an active collector of original photo's let me say that pointing out live auctions have no negative effect at all. Anybody who has the time to view all the live auctions can see those pictures. And if you don't have the time to search on Ebay everyday the postings of Ed West are of great help !

The only thing that can influence the auction is discussing a certain photo before the auction is over or even asking to identify the plane, tank or whatsoever, because in that case a just plain photo can become a special or a rare photo and in that can rise the prices to the sky.

I lose a lot of photo's to Sudek13 (like so many others of you) and does it hurt me ? Yes, I regret I didn't win that particular photo, but that's all in the game and by the bright side it spared me a few bucks.

It is indeed all a matter of the money you can spend on things and if another person has more money to spend than you, well, too bad,
but that's the way auctions work.

It is all just a pitty for many people that a multi-millionair entered the arena of buying photo's on Ebay.

But he has the right too as everybody else to spend his money as he wishes.

And for the record, I have no financial interest at all by showing previews of live auctions on this forum or pointing out special photo's.
Many photo's I own have already been published by others and I have never asked a single penny for it !

It is just my way of paying back for all those years I enjoyed seeing other pictures published.

Regards,
Jan
