Hi Nick,

indeed interesting. Without a doubt the "Meitner" mentioned in the report is Fhr. Klaus Meixner of 12./JG 54 who belly-landed sout east of Kirchhellen. Oblt. Dortenmann landed in Kirchhellen. See also page 180 of our book.

Loved the book

The Halifax photo on page 214 has the tail markings of 347 Sqn, what I cannot tie up is the identity of the aircraft, nothing from that squadron seems to fit.

Yes, of course. I have taken a huge number of photos of documents at the National Archives in the last year or so. The plan is the take a picture of anything that looks interesting and then review it all in my spare time. The only I need now is the spare time!
