Helicopters Of The Third Reich at a bargain price

My most recent royalty statement informs me that about 200 copies have been sold at a 'high discount'. I therefore checked the Ian Allan website and notice the book can be bought for £ 17.50 - https://www.ianallanpublishing.com/p...0&cat=0&page=1

If there is anyone out there interested in buying a copy or who might have been delaying buying a copy, then I would suggest now is your moment as I guess this pretty much clears out the original print run.

This is not shameless self-promotion as I've already received a royalty on this stock movement and even if it were, writing aviation history books ain't gonna make anyone rich !

I don't imagine there will be a reprint anytime soon.

Hi Steve,

That's a shame...but thanks for the note.

What's next on the schedule?

Stephen

Stephen,

I think it's simply one of the realities of publishing and I can see the publisher's perspective in clearing down slow(ish) moving stock. It's exactly the same process by which I got a copy of your own 'Metal Canvas'.

If I'm honest, I'm not sure I'll put another book out unless it's helicopter related. My working life over the past four / five years or so has left very little time for hobby activity and I'd hate to just hack something out. Things have gotten a bit better recently but I'm pretty much just kicking back at the moment. I've kept a few aspects of the helicopter research ticking over and have accumulated a few new gems but these are decorative garnish. I'd be game for a revised and expanded version of the book say 5/10 years down the track or something smaller on say the 282 or 223.

How's your own research going ? Are you still working on the Coastal Command stuff ? Was it 404 Squadron - sorry my memory's appalling.

Steve
