Re: Photos 4-17

Guys
This one is odd
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=290223222073

It is listed as having a final unit of 9FTS and becoming a museum aircraft.
Code white 14 certainly implies a training unit in RAF.

What is it doing on German e-bay and stated as being a capture one?

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos 4-17

Thanks Mike

You are spot on. I asked Jim Halley and Phil Butler and both answered the same thing. Looks like someone is trying to increase the value by saying it is a captured specimen...
Well, I guess Whitehall is not one of those buildings I pass by every week
Cheers

Re: Photos 4-17

Hallo all,

A second photo, showing a Spitfire, from the same vendor and taken at the same time and location as the Hurricane can be found in Ed West's '4-21' posting (yesterday). It is the second photo in the 'Misc.' column, number 290223988476.

To me that soldier between the two wingtips appears to be an RAF or British Army Military Policeman.

Regards,

Martin Gleeson.
