BA-MA Freiburg Index Help

I'll be at the BA-MA 4-10 June. I've been unable to hire a private researcher as a facilitator (I've tried the first four on the BA-MA's list without luck), & it looks like this'll be the first trip I make without ample advance preparation. Can anyone out there point me to published indices of the following collections?

KART 44: Einsatz der Fliegende Verbaende - Luftlage (eigene und feindliche Luftwaffe)

RL 9: Befehlshaber und Missionen in besetzten und verbundeten Staaten

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don Caldwell

Re: BA-MA Freiburg Index Help

Hi

I am not sure if they have been able to put together a Word file for RL 9 yet, the easy way to go about this is simply to mail the current head of the readers room and ask for it, the same goes for the KART44.

Have only studied parts of KART 44 earlier. Interesting to say the least....

Regards,
Andreas B

Andreas --

Based on my past experiences with the BA-MA and other archives I wasn't expecting them to give me straight answers, but your suggestion is a good one. My next e-mail to the Leiterin will make just that request.

Thanks,

Don

Re: BA-MA Freiburg Index Help

Hello Jan --

Yes, my address is don-caldwell@att.net . Ever since I converted to DSL (high-speed phone line internet) last December and had to go with Yahoo!, I've heard from people whose messages bounced. I have yet to find a human being at Yahoo! to discuss the problem with. All I can say is to keep trying; the message will eventually go thru. I look forward to seeing it.

Don

Newcomer,

IIRC it is a kind of commander and mission/liaison staff materials from occupied and allied countries.
Perhaps contains wider range of other docus as well, I did not make any serious research among RL 9 materials when I was in Freiburg in 2004 for 3 months.

Best,
