actually:

Shumikhin

"a" means that person is a female. For example - "he" - Kuznetsov, "she" Kuznetsova

But in same time, the same "a" letter means "by" or "of".

For example:

"Aircraft of Kuznetsov" will be "Самолёт Кузнецова"

"Boston of Shumikhin" will be "Бостон Шумихина"
