Additional information for Peter as a reply to his previous message:
1) Gefr. Bodo Siegfried was severely injured with broke leg, arm, shoulder and head wounds. I had contact with Mr. Siegfried in 2000 and he only remembered he came down near Lichtenvoorde. 2) Fw. Otto Erhardt was born in Pforzheim so he wasn't Austrian. In 1998 I had contact with the relatives but they did not have any additional information on Fw. Erhardt. 3) The VLM of Stfw. Wilhelm Scheschonka says crash location is "Doetinchen bei Deelen". Of course your info is correct. 4) I can't find an easy candidate for the 23-9-1944 crashlanding either. Nothing from 23-9-1944 seems to match. I only have Fallschirmabsprung and not crashlandings as survivoers... cheers, John Manrho. |
