It's a Dewoitine D.500 probably used by a training unit.

I believe it's an old Dewoitine D.501 fighter.
I published a photo of a similarly looking all-silver D.501, with No. 4 on the fin, in my book with French captured airplanes, page 61, bottom.

It's not a D.501 but a D.500.
The D.501 had the "moteur-canon" and no spinner.

I am, of course, no specialist in French airplanes (except the ones that served in Central and Eastern Europe). No argument here.
The basis of what I wrote was the caption in my quoted book and the similarity between the two photos.
