Re: Photos 6-27, part two of two
Hi, folks...
The two links below from Ed's recent offerings apparently show Dornier Do17Ms. I'm curious about them due to the fact that both seemingly have front line markings (fuselage band on one, and yellow cowlings on the other) and 5.Staffel/KG3's unit badge uder the cockpit. Can anyone confirm that these early version Dorniers were still operational with KG3 at the time of what seems to be 1941, possibly Balkans campaign or early on in 'Barbarossa' ? Thanks in advance, oh, and to Ed as well for another great selection of photos... ![]() http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=160255528042 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=160255527083 |

Re: Photos 6-27, part two of two
Dear Ed,
You got a real gem for an old '109 buff like me with this bird: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=260255850133 I would think of one of the former JG 77 Me 109 G-10 or K-4, then handed over to JG 52, thus sporting the yellow nose band, and probably having landed in Neubiberg on 8th May 1945.... Any other pointer or confirmation? Thanks and cheers Marc Last edited by Marc-André Haldimann; 8th January 2014 at 17:32. |
