Uffz. Ungern-Sternberg +20.9.44

Dear Gentlemen,

on September 20th 1944 Uffz. Wolf von Ungern-Sternberg crashed into Steinhuder Lake.

He was a pilot of the KG2. My question is:

What caused his loss and what type of a/c did he fly.

The pilot was laid to rest at Wunstorf cemetery.

kind regards

Steve
