No, "grunts" were not real good at ID'ing German equiptment.
The first "fighter" is, if course, an He-111, but with the yellow V wing marking thus proving it was not just used on fighters. Also, the "bomber" photos are a Ju-86R recon plane. |

If it is an R-1 but the R-2 was the bomber, was it not?

Hi...
The Junkers is a Ju86G. The 'R' had different nose glazing. The 'G' nose glazing was more 'attached' to the front of the fuselage; the 'R' glazing was less extensive and more 'embedded' in its appearance. The differences can bee seen at the Luftarchiv site: http://www.luftarchiv.de/ Regards... |
