Can anyone give me details on the following people please:

All I know is DKiG and RK details. Any more info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Career details on Aufklarungsflieger

Many thanks. To answer your question, yes I am interested in details on Luftwaffe RK winners. Fighter, schlacht/Stuka and bomber pilots to a lesser extent are relatively well written about; Obermaier and Brutting to name but two. However, the rest are poorly served. I know Obermaier, before his untimely death, had material on recon/transport pilot/observers which was taken over by another author, but that seems to have evaporated. How many missions flown, or what deeds were accomplished to earn the DKiG and RK? I would love to know! I have written to the individuals a long time ago and got replies, however, got little hard information.

Oblt Paul Birnkraut was assigned to 1./FaGr 5, but was dispatched to Messerschmitt to serve as an Einflieger. (Me 262)
