Soviet Aces Volume 2

I was looking through Ozon.ru and saw that Mikhail Bykov's (Owl-99) volume 2 of Soviet Aces 1941-1945 Victories of Stalin's Falcons (in Russian) is now out. The ad states it has about 3200 aces with more then 5 victories in 656 pages (471 rubles). I haven't seen it offered in the Russian books stores in the U.S. yet.

Nokose,
Can you provide a link to the ad for volume 2?

Frank.

Re: Soviet Aces Volume 2

Thanks for the good news!
I already ordered vol. 1 through Books.ru.
I will try to order it again (although they don't appear to have an English version of the web site, so it will be rather difficult for me).

Nokose,
Thanks for the link. Now just to wait until kniga.com in Brooklyn gets it in.

Enjoy!

Frank.

Re: Soviet Aces Volume 2

Frank, I sent an email to www.bukinist.com in New York asking about it but haven't got a reply yet. I got the 1st volume from them along with several other books in Russian on the air war in the east.

To order in the U.S. go to www.vasha-kniga.com and type on the search асы and it will take you to both books that are for sale. Now it's just a wait for Volume 3 on the Navy aces.

Hello!

But Vol 2 seems to contain Soviet Navy aces? At least KBF and SF. Or am I seeing things?

Kari,
If you already have a copy then that is probably correct. I only remember the author telling me that he was planning on a 3rd volume for the navy but if he changed his mind and did it all in one that's great.
