Appointment to commission.
As Pit. Offs. on prob. (emergency):

Sgt.
1171763 Robert CAMPBELL-PEAT (182723). 4th July 1944

The last mention of him in the London Gazzette I can find is 1950. no use of the second name Colin however, is this a certain? Can't find him in England and Wales birth records but might be Scottish.

Search the LG using their search engine and his serial number:

I find little mention of his surname even on Ancestry.com
