While revisiting some of my images, I came across one from 2006. I posted it at the time, but thought that some of you may be interested in the story and pictures in-case you didn't see it.

Now I'll add something a little spooky, but absolutely true.
If you look at the pictures, you'll see that the flags are hardly moving. When I arrived at the scene I knew the most powerful image would be the last one, but only if the flags were blowing.
As, the time neared for the flyby, there was just the mildest air movement, but then just at the point where the P-51 made it's final pass at the end of the display, a gust of wind blew and lifted the flags to a Horizontal disposition....and that made the image that was published in the papers at the time.
I took a chance by using a wide lens to get the image, as others were just getting the close-up of the plane.
Got to say the hairs bristled a little when it happened, but it made the moment all the more poignant.
