Re: new find of a Ju 52 near the island of Kea
The entry from the QM's returns dated 15-9-43 just gives Ju52 of I/TG4 wn 6590 on 'H' flight 100% on 6-9-43, with location N/W island of Kea. Made emergency landing on the sea with engine trouble (water in fuel), the crew were uninjured and were rescued, one Fluggast missing and two Fluggast injured.

yes it seems that we got the identity of the plane, we have also the same data. Could you please inform us regarding the crew? Do you have any names or do you have any idea where we may find a list of the crew? Thanks in advance DG |

Re: new find of a Ju 52 near the island of Kea
Hello Dimitris,
Because none of the aircrew were lost or injured the QM's returns do not name them, it does not seem as if missing or injured Fluggaste are named either in this or other cases. I believe there is a Transport Flyers Association in Germany but I do not know how to contact them or whether they could help. I think there is a history of Seenot.7 published in Germany which may have mention of this rescue, I think it has been mentioned before on this Forum so if anybody has a copy they could possibily check for you, Regards Brian Bines |

Re: new find of a Ju 52 near the island of Kea
Hi.
The loss is registered as follows in the loss lists: http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=120913 With regards to the passengers, I suspect there would be an entry in the loss records for non-flying personnel. Regards, Andreas B
