Hello Rúdiger,

Aircraft was named "Vixen" came down near Berkum .
Ref:Fighter Losses of the Mighty Eighth.

Photo of Kneifel in "Little Friends" by Steve Gotts (page 125).
Text seems to suggest that he bailed. quote: "was forced to abandon his plane near Koblenz".
