Many thanks for your response. All this helps complete what one knows about this ace who was highly successful in the summer of 1943. Perhaps you would be interested to know that the aircraft with which his Fw 190 A-5 “Yellow 10” (W.Nr. 0157 206) collided with on 23 October 1943 during take-off at Kosinskiy was the Fw 190 A-5 (W.Nr. 410 027) of Oberleutnant Wilhelm Laufer. He later died of the wounds received in this incident. Many thanks for your input. Horrido! Leo
