Re: 26 june 1944, Budapest, II./ZG1

It looks like we are looking at the similar loss lists, Evgeny. But, I also have a Bf 110 G-2, W.Nr. 500 008, 3U+S?R, lost over Budapest on the 27th. It is interesting that the a/c has ZG 26 coding, but I also saw a Bf 110 G-2 loss on 16-06-44 with the "3U" coding. So, perhaps ZG 1 took over some ZG 26 a/c and had not yet changed the coding on them. My listing does not show the amount of damage suffered by the a/c.

At the end of some lines is the notation: 1FSA. Any idea what that means?

THX for reply gents.

George - during june 44 II./ZG1 received 14 aircrafts from other regiments. Perhaps 3U+SR was among them, received from III./ZG26, wich was on the run to receive Me262 in june.

Maybe something like "Fallschirmabsprung"?

Yep, as some of this a/c had 1 crewmember dead and one injured but could bail out.

Thank you for that, Maxim1 and Evgeny, it fits exactly with the loss list.

If we're going into other losses, Stab/ZG 76 lost 2 Me 410s on the 27th. I just happened to find these mixed in with Bf 110 losses for the unit.
